The only way I can tell you how revolutionary this method is is to compare it to the card counting blackjack revolution of the 1960's. Ed Thorpe’s ground-breaking book, BEAT THE DEALER, set the stage for the biggest, most publicized explosion in gambling history.
This blackjack hey day was based on the simple premise that by counting the cards in a deck the player could gain a 1.2% advantage over the house. That tiny mathematical edge was enough to create a gold rush run on the casinos that was so profound all the casinos in the country shut their blackjack tables down indefinitely.
“Indefinitely” turned out to be only a few weeks, however, because...number one, the casinos realized how much revenue they were losing and secondly, they realized that the 1.2% advantage only held up if the players played flawless strategy using a complex set of rules hat required so much memorization and practice that most players wouldn’t learn it.
Still, however, gamblers began to win substantial amounts from the casinos. Sophisticated players like Ken Uston turned up, in disguise, to win a million dollars and write a classic book about it called, “MILLION DOLLAR BLACKJACK,” that is still available today.

I personally came to Las Vegas specifically to play blackjack as a profession. Before I tell you about Caribbean Stud itself, let me introduce you to Angel Largay, the developer of KILLER CARIBBEAN STUD, if you don’t already know our key poker instructor.
Angel is from Alaska where he began his poker career as a dealer for some of the biggest cash games in the country during Alaska’s oil boom. Due to their sheer size, these games attracted some of the top players in the world.
From this unique vantage point he not only studied their techniques but discovered he had an aptitude for the mathematics of poker.
As the oil money ran out and the big games dwindled, dealers had to split their time between dealing and playing. Many went broke but Angel not only survived but thrived. Eventually he headed to Las Vegas and the card rooms of Southern California.

Now that you know a little about the developer, let’s take a quick look at this fun...and lucrative game called “Caribbean Stud.”
Caribbean Stud Poker is a relatively new version of poker created in the Bahamas in the 1980's as a means of giving cruise ship tourists the “flavor” of the islands. It soon found its way to America and has since become a standard staple in nearly every casino.
For those of you unfamiliar with the game, Caribbean Stud is a one deck poker game played on a blackjack-sized table. The dealer shuffles the deck in a Shuffle Master to ensure random cards then deals hands to all players and one hand to himself. The players then play their hands against the dealer, not against the other players. SIMPLE!
THE ONLY DIFFERENCE— AND THIS IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE—
IS THAT THE PLAYER HAS AN OPPORTUNITY TO RAISE THEIR
BET OR FOLD AFTER SEEING THE DEALER’S INITIAL HAND.
That means you, the player, have a unique advantage no other game of poker has, let alone any other game in the casino! In fact, Angel suggests that the 5.22% Caribbean Stud house edge (compared to the 5.26% house edge for roulette) is misleading.
What is touted as “optimal strategy” by the casino is far from optimal because the house edge was determined solely on the first bet ante, not the second “raising bet.” That distance is our gain.

To practice at home, simply shuffle a deck of cards, deal out a hand of five cards for the dealer and a hand for yourself and make only one decision — “stay”/”don’t stay.” IT IS THAT EASY!
As mentioned, for completeness Angel has included with the manual the standard American payout structure, a chart of the probability of starting hands, a log of all the games he played the month before writing the course, a section on money management, a sample game as well as a chart for record keeping.
For example, Angel’s money management method is also easy to learn. Brilliantly simple, you’ll be able to pick up the concept as easily as looking at the chart he provides.
Because saving money is as good as winning money, Angel mathematically explains why you should never make the optional $1 side bet. Does a 26.49% HOUSE EDGE sound like a sucker bet to you?
The records Angel kept reveal that he played 28 sessions, usually only an hour or two in length, for a total of 36 hours. Playing $25 units with a bankroll of $500 he won a total of 366 units--a net win of $9,150.

Well, it’s easy enough to run that figure out for you, it’s $109,800— over $100,000 a year, playing only one full working week a month— AND THAT’S IF YOU STAY AT $25 UNITS!
Let’s say you were ultra conservative. Let’s also say that for some reason you only won 4 units an hour. Playing $25 units that’s $100 an hour. Playing 20 hours a week you could expect to win $2,000 a week. Playing 50 weeks a year would give you a profit of $100,000 a year— and that’s still without raising your base bet of $25!
Here are some of Angel’s more recent wins:
In three sessions at the tables, playing $25 units, Angel won $1,200, $600 and $2,000. NOT A BAD “DAY’S WAGE” BY ANYBODY’S STANDARD. That’s $3,800 in 3 days and his average playing “day” was less than 2 hours, which amounts to a “salary” of $633 an hour.
In another series, Angel played ten sessions and won all ten out of ten. Those sessions netted him— $300, $800, $525, $200, $100, $200, $300, $500, $100, $200 for a total of $3225, again, playing only $25 units, 2 to 4 sessions a day.
After we shot the video I dropped Angel off at the MGM Grand. He called 15 minutes later to report he had already won $500. For the day he went on to win $2,700.
