(For those of you unfamiliar with parlays, the term “parlay” really means “let it ride.” Win one bet, let your winnings ride . . . put them on top of your previous bet . . . and if that second bet wins, your parlay is over. If not, you can start another parlay.)
In PPBJ, the parlay is used only when you are behind. Any losses are recovered quickly.

What are the FIVE ONES? They are simply five one-unit bets that are used in such a way that should you fall behind by just one unit or more you’ll quickly get even. I first came to Las Vegas some 30 years ago to make my living counting cards at blackjack. In those days, almost all games were one or two decks. One of the problems unsuccessful counters soon recognized was that they didn’t have the huge bankroll to withstand the downward swings. The somewhat standard recommendation — which few people realized — was to have a bankroll equaling 100 times their top bet. So, if your top bet was $25, that would be $2,500. If your top bet was $100, that was $10,000.

By the way, if someone is selling a system(s) for gambling,
especially for a number of years, why would he or she live anywhere other than Las Vegas? It doesn’t make sense, especially if it’s being claimed that a living can be made by playing their system.
